A large part of the work of the Association is acting in
an advocacy role, representing its member schools in meetings and
negotiations with government departments. The following are some highlights of past achievements:
Advocated
for and achieved authorization from the Department of Education for
admission of mature students on similar basis as Community Colleges and
Universities
Created
a Scholarship fund for the benefit of PCANS members' students- Opened the
lines of communication with both Federal and Provincial Agencies- Worked
through our National Association to make changes to Canada Student Loans
program so Private
College students
would be eligible for maximum benefits
Active
member of the National Association of Career Colleges
